Google launches Pics, an AI-powered image editor for Workspace

Google is rolling out Google Pics, a new image generation and editing app built around Gemini and Nano Banana. The app lets users generate and edit images with prompts, modify objects, translate text in images, upscale to 4K, resize for social/web/print, and collaborate. Pics will work as a standalone app and inside Docs and Slides, with Drive integration later. The product puts Google more directly against Canva and Adobe Express for business design workflows.
