US options call volume falls to lowest since May; put volume lowest since February

The 5-day moving average of call trading volume fell to about 6.6 million contracts, the lowest since early May. Put volume dropped to about 5.3 million contracts, the lowest since February. The call-to-put ratio rose to 1.25x, near the highest in five years. The ratio has been higher only 11% of the time since 2010. Option investors are waiting for the next catalyst.
