Interactive Brokers October DARTs fall 4% year over year; client accounts rise 34%

Interactive Brokers reported October 2026 brokerage metrics. DARTs were 4.306 million, down 4% year over year and up 5% month over month. Client accounts rose 34% year over year to 5.678 million. Client equity was $928.6 billion, up 19% year over year but down 4% month over month. Margin loans rose 31% year over year to $106.8 billion. Credit balances were $180.5 billion, up 15% year over year. The update also included Reg-NMS execution statistics, with IBKR PRO clients' all-in cost at about 1.1 basis points in October versus 2.4 basis points for the rolling 12 months.
