Propanc Biopharma (Nasdaq: PPCB) announced preclinical findings for its pancreatic proenzyme formulation (PRP, now PPC-001) alone and with galunisertib in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma models. PRP reduced proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion in wild-type and gemcitabine-resistant cells, and modulated TGF-β/SMAD and EMT markers. Adding GAL enhanced some effects but reduced stromal selectivity. An Australian patent application was filed for the combination. Management says PRP is progressing toward a Phase 1b first-in-human study.
