Kodiak AI delivered the first two Western Star 49X driverless trucks to Atlas Energy Solutions in September. They are the first of 65 Western Star trucks to fulfill Atlas's initial 100-truck order, with the rest on schedule by mid-2027. Atlas's fleet now totals 37 driverless trucks, the largest in the world. These are the first vehicles with Kodiak's Gen7 hardware and the first day-cab autonomous trucks in commercial service. The fleet surpassed 40,000 hours of driverless operation as of June 30, 2026.
