MGM Resorts confirms People Incorporated withdrew acquisition bid, will remain standalone

MGM Resorts International said People Incorporated withdrew its June 1 proposal to acquire the company. A special committee negotiated with People. MGM will continue as a standalone company. Shares fell 8% in after-hours trading.
