Nasdaq drops 2.2% as tech selloff continues; consumer stocks Cheesecake Factory, Disney, Williams-Sonoma hold gains

The Nasdaq fell 2.2% on Friday, extending a tech-led selloff that pushed the VanEck Semiconductor ETF down nearly 9% for the week. The S&P 500 lost 1.2% and the Dow slipped 0.6%. Consumer stocks bucked the trend: Cheesecake Factory held near its all-time high, Disney tried to break out from a double-bottom base, and Williams-Sonoma rose 3%. ServiceNow reversed from a 4% gain to a 5% loss on heavy volume, failing a breakout. Tesla and SpaceX both fell 2% after unveiling the flying Roadster. The 10-year yield edged up to 5.13%.
