Apple overhauls EU App Store fees, cuts commissions from October 1

Apple is revamping its EU App Store terms effective October 1. The Core Technology Fee will be replaced by a 5% commission on digital transactions outside the App Store. EU commissions will be 26% for Apple in-app purchases, 20% for alternative payments, and 15% for external purchase links. Apple will also expand alternative app distribution and introduce additional child-safety measures. The changes are expected to end Apple's EU antitrust problems.
