The International Energy Agency now expects world oil demand to fall by 2.5 million barrels per day in 2026, a steeper drop than its prior forecast of 1.6 million bpd. The revision is attributed to the impasse in US-Iran talks. The IEA also sees supply averaging 100.7 million bpd, down 5.7 million bpd from 2025.
