Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $1.2 billion contract for the Precision Strike Missile (PRSM) Increment 2, following the system's second maritime test. The contract reinforces Lockheed's position in the U.S. Army's long-range precision strike program. PRSM Increment 2 features a multimode seeker for moving land and maritime targets. Additional testing is scheduled for 2027, and Lockheed plans to quadruple PRSM production capacity to support anticipated demand.
