Iran's security chief says Tehran has compiled seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming negotiations. Conditions have been handed to Qatari and Pakistani mediators. Rezaei gave the US 4-5 days to comply, warning the Strait will stay closed without compliance.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei stated Tehran has compiled seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Conditions have been handed to Qatari and Pakistani mediators for delivery to the US.
Rezaei gave the US a 4-5 day window to comply with the conditions.
If US does not comply, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed and no negotiations will occur.
Rezaei emphasized Iran is not in a hurry to negotiate and that previous US violations of conditions justify the new stance.
The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic chokepoint for global oil transit.
