Amazon plans to spend more than $100 million on a new robotics-manufacturing facility in Greenwood, Indiana, set to open by 2028. The expansion doubles the number of its robot-making plants to four, including a recently announced Austin, Texas hub. The facility will create 300 skilled manufacturing and engineering jobs with an average salary of nearly $100,000. Amazon says it has deployed over one million robots across more than 300 facilities, assisting with 75% of customer orders and reducing workplace injuries by over 40%. The company emphasizes that automation creates high-paying jobs alongside robots.
