NY Fed's Williams: Another 2026 rate hike reasonable; market prices 75% chance of October move

NY Fed President John Williams said another rate hike by year-end is reasonable. Traders now see a 75% chance of a 25bp hike next month and a 58% chance of two more hikes by year-end. The 30-year Treasury yield rose to 5.446%, the highest since 2004, while the 10-year hit 5.145%, highest since 2007. The Fed raised rates to 3.75%-4% earlier this month.
