Lakewood-Amedex Biotherapeutics (LABT) has dosed the first patient in a Phase 2a trial of its topical antimicrobial gel Nu-3 for mildly infected diabetic foot ulcers. The dose-finding study will test 2%, 5%, and 10% concentrations. Topline safety and efficacy data are expected in the first quarter of 2027. The trial is being run by contract research organization PERI.
