Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in an interview that if AI labs like OpenAI and Anthropic cannot control their models, the only option is to shut them down. He does not see that as imminent but argues labs need to improve safety. Huang also said rigorous safety evaluation could require 10 times more compute, which would benefit Nvidia. NVDA was down 1.1% in premarket trading.
