Eli Lilly's next-generation obesity drug retatrutide delivered an average 20.8% weight loss (49.6 lbs) at the 12 mg dose over 80 weeks in a Phase 3 trial. The triple agonist also reduced A1C in patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes. Lilly plans to submit for FDA approval in Q1 2027.
