US strategic oil reserves fall to lowest since 1982 as weekly decline continues

SPR inventories dropped ~800,000 barrels last week to 283.8 million, the lowest since 1982. The 27th consecutive weekly decline comes as the administration offers up to 40 million barrels from the reserve, which could push total inventories below 250 million barrels.
