Tencent-Oracle AI chip deal worth $7bn, 30% paid upfront

Oracle has signed a five-year deal with Tencent to provide access to roughly 100,000 advanced AI chips across Southeast Asia data centers. The agreement is valued at about $7bn with roughly 30% paid upfront. Tencent is using the capacity to train AI models and build agentic products.
