Amazon plans to expand delivery network to nearly every US zip code by 2029

Amazon aims to grow its own delivery network from about 23,700 US zip codes to roughly 39,400 by 2029, covering 95% of zip codes and 99.9% of customer demand. The plan includes 165 new delivery stations from 2027-2029 and 4,500 additional zip codes through its rural Hub Delivery program. The expansion began as part of Project Aurelian, a contingency plan created when USPS contract negotiations became uncertain. Amazon says the projections are preliminary and could change.
