State Street study: institutional digital asset adoption accelerates, regulatory clarity top priority

State Street's 2026 Digital Assets Study of 300 institutional investors shows accelerating adoption: 51% expect mainstream within five years, up from 42% in 2025. 35% already manage or distribute digital assets. Regulatory clarity is the top service provider priority (69%). Average allocation is 11%, expected to reach 17% in three years. Digital cash is very important to 45% of respondents.
