Pentair shares best performer in S&P 500 after Q3 beat

Pentair posted Q3 adjusted EPS of $1.18, topping the $1.07 consensus, and revenue of $976.4M vs $963.7M expected. The stock rallied 13%, its biggest one-day gain since March 2020, and was the best S&P 500 performer. Full-year adjusted EPS guidance of $4.70 came in above the $4.65 analyst estimate. Sales fell 4% as the pool segment dragged.
