Universal Health Services Q3 net income falls to $308.7 million, revenue up 5.3%

Universal Health Services reported Q3 net income of $308.7 million ($5.22 per share), down from $373.0 million ($5.86) a year ago. Revenue rose 5.3% to $4.733 billion. Results included a $47 million Medicaid supplemental payment benefit and a $26 million charge from a tentative legal settlement that increased liability reserves.
