Apple unveils first touch screen MacBook Pro, starting at $2,899

Apple introduced its first touch screen laptop, the MacBook Pro with ProLED XDR Display, on Wednesday. The device starts at $2,899, powered by M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, with preorders today and in-store availability Nov. 6. The price reflects the new OLED display and surging memory costs. This is Apple's third major product launch in under two months, ahead of its fiscal Q4 earnings on Nov. 2.
