Onsemi in talks to buy AI power startup Ferric for nearly $1B

Onsemi is in talks to acquire Ferric, an AI power-management startup, for nearly $1 billion, The Information reports. An agreement could come in days, but terms are still being negotiated and talks could fall apart. Ferric makes integrated voltage regulators that shorten the electrical path to AI processors, reducing energy losses. The deal could include performance-based payments.
