Binance freezes $2.54 bln, suspends deposits and withdrawals after security issue

Binance says verified frozen funds total $2.54 billion and it may freeze more while working with law enforcement. All deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended, and Binance Alpha trading is halted until the security issue is resolved. The exchange says it will cover all losses. Bitcoin fell 1% to $77,646.
