PG&E has become the first energy utility in the world to earn accreditation from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program, an independent third-party organization. The accreditation validates PG&E's emergency preparedness, response and recovery capabilities for its more than 16 million customers. PG&E met all 73 EMAP standards with zero nonconformances, joining only three other private-sector organizations with this accreditation. The five-year effort included benchmarking and external assessments. PG&E is a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG).
