Quantum X Labs successfully ran its Qatacomb quantum encryption scheme on an IBM Quantum Heron r2 processor. The intended recipient reconstructed an encrypted image using the machine's noise, while an adversary without the key gained no usable information. The scheme is designed to be information-theoretic, not relying on assumptions about adversary computing power. Gix Internet, which holds about 13% of QXL, announced the results.
