Google hires Thinking Machines Lab co-founder Barret Zoph as VP of Research for Gemini

Google has hired Barret Zoph, co-founder and former CTO of Thinking Machines Lab, as VP of Research. He will work on Gemini, focusing on reinforcement learning and post-training, per WSJ.
