Merck's remigromig Meets Primary Endpoint in Pivotal Phase 2b/3 DME Study

Merck's remigromig, a first-in-class tri-specific Wnt pathway agonist, showed non-inferiority to ranibizumab in the Phase 2b/3 BRUNELLO study for diabetic macular edema. Safety signals include higher rates of proliferative diabetic retinopathy and vitreous hemorrhage. Results to be presented at AAO on Oct. 10.
