Merck initiates Phase 3 study of Ohtuvayre for COPD exacerbation prevention

Merck (MRK) has started ENHANCE-3, a Phase 3 trial testing Ohtuvayre (ensifentrine) plus standard of care vs placebo for preventing COPD exacerbations in high-risk adults. The study targets ~2,136 patients globally. Ohtuvayre is already approved for COPD maintenance. No efficacy data from this trial are expected for several years.
