Zions Bancorp Q3 earnings beat on lower credit costs, net interest income rises 2%

Zions Bancorp reported Q3 EPS of $1.78, above the $1.67 estimate, as net earnings rose 20% YoY to $262M. Lower credit provisions and charge-offs drove the beat. Net interest income grew 2% YoY to $684M. The bank completed its acquisition of Basis Multifamily Finance in July.
