Accenture, Dragos and the SANS Institute are jointly contributing about $10 million to provide free cybersecurity services and training for up to 500 under-resourced U.S. utilities. The initiative includes the launch of the Community Cyber Resilience Foundation, a non-profit focused on utilities with less than $100 million in annual revenue. The announcement follows a surge of cyberattacks on U.S. water systems. Separately, Accenture said it acquired Avicado, a construction technology consultancy; terms were not disclosed.
