FuelCell Energy announced its Block System received a 99.873% rating in PJM's ELCC assessment for 2028/29. The rating means nearly all evaluated capacity is recognized as dependable. PJM projects 32 GW peak load growth by 2030, mostly from data centers. The accreditation compares favorably to nuclear (96%), diesel (93%), and gas turbine (67%) class ratings. CEO Jason Few said the result provides an independent measure of reliability and has economic implications for capacity-market participation. The rating is unit-specific and future assessments may differ.
