Vertex's Journavx becomes top branded oral pain drug in US

Vertex Pharmaceuticals' non-opioid pain drug Journavx became the most prescribed branded oral pain medicine in the U.S. as of August. Third-quarter prescriptions topped 750,000 across hospital and retail settings, up more than 40% sequentially and quadruple the 170,000 filled a year earlier. The adoption generated $58 million in third-quarter revenue, nearly tripling prior-year sales.
