Tesla China October wholesale sales fall 29% from September, up 10% year over year

Tesla's October China wholesale sales totaled 67,829 vehicles, down 29% from September but up 10% from a year earlier, according to CPCA data. September was Tesla's best 2026 China month at 95,366; October was the weakest since February's 58,599. Year-to-date wholesale sales through October are up 21%. The October release did not split domestic sales from Shanghai exports. January-September Shanghai exports rose 108% to 361,972 while China deliveries fell 12% to 381,088. Industrywide China NEV wholesale sales hit a record 1.8 million in October and 13.2 million in the first 10 months, up 10%. BYD sold a record 490,168 vehicles in October, with BEV sales above 300,000 for the first time. Tesla stock was flat premarket after rising 1% to 403.82 on Monday and 7.4% last week; it is down about 10% this year.
