Lifeway Foods brings frozen kefir to soft-serve machines

Lifeway Foods (LWAY) is relaunching frozen kefir through foodservice, starting with froyo shops in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The soft serve uses real kefir, not powder, and contains 50 billion CFUs. CEO Julie Smolyansky highlighted the product's appeal to consumers seeking protein-forward, gut-healthy options. Lifeway previously operated frozen kefir shops that closed in 2021.
