Chunghwa Telecom Q3 revenue up 16.7%, profit and EPS top guidance range

Chunghwa Telecom reported unaudited third-quarter 2026 revenue of NT$67.59 billion, up 16.7% year over year, with net income attributable to shareholders up 29.5% to NT$12.22 billion and basic EPS of NT$1.57. Revenue, operating income, net income and EPS all exceeded the high end of the company's quarterly guidance. Operating income rose 27.1% to NT$15.38 billion and operating margin widened to 22.65% from 20.89%, even as operating costs and expenses climbed 14.0% on ICT project costs, seasonal personnel expenses and a one-off asset revitalization. Management said it was the strongest third quarter since 2009 and that it remains confident in full-year guidance.
